Position summary
The Learning and Development (L&D) Trainer plays a key role in supporting Cultura’s people capability by delivering engaging, inclusive, and practical learning experiences. This role focuses on the facilitation of core training programs including induction, mandatory compliance, cultural awareness training and ad-hoc professional development.
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, the L&D Trainer will contribute to a positive learning culture across the organisation, support onboarding and workforce development, and ensure compliance with relevant training and accreditation standards guidelines. The role will involve some training coordination and resource development, with a focus on learner experience and continuous improvement.
This position will be contracted on a permanent part time basis, working 15 hours per week.
This role is a hybrid position, which may be based in either Geelong or Melbourne, with working from home options available. Attendance to the office will be required one day per fortnight, where further flexible working conditions may be negotiated with the successful candidate.
Duties
- Deliver face-to-face and virtual training sessions across Cultura’s services such as induction, cultural awareness and professional development.
- Facilitate to external organisations as part of Cultura’s community engagement and fee-for-service offerings
- Support the scheduling, preparation, and logistics of training sessions, including room setup, calendar invites, communication, and materials.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and feedback data in line with compliance and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the design and regular review of learning materials such as slide decks, handouts, facilitator guides, and eLearning modules.
- Ensure training content is aligned to current legislative and organisational requirements.
- Distribute, collect and record post-training feedback and evaluations.
- Analyse feedback to make recommendations for improving content, delivery, or learner engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- TAE401116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in a training role.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, problem solve and anticipate student and organisational needs.
Desirable
- Proven working experience in business development or relevant role.
- Sector specific knowledge in community aged care, residential aged care and NDIS service delivery.
