Position Overview

The Food Services Team Leader plays a pivotal role in the Hotel Services department, overseeing the delivery of food services across various sites, including Residential Services and Community Hub. Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will lead a team of Hotel Services Officers to achieve operational excellence and maintain high standards of food service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise food services staff, encouraging teamwork and professionalism.
  • Facilitate new staff orientation and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Manage food safety protocols and maintain essential records in collaboration with local health inspectors.
  • Assist in menu development, incorporating resident feedback for nutritious meal options.
  • Ensure the visual appeal and quality of meals served, including special dietary needs.
  • Oversee stock ordering and manage catering for internal and external events.
  • Handle resident and family feedback regarding food services promptly and professionally.
  • 7 days availability is a must.
  • Weekend shift at Stella Cafe required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food services, with a focus on the needs of elderly residents. You will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

  • Essential: Current Food Handlers Certificate and Food Supervisor Certificate.
  • Proven experience in a commercial kitchen and staff supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to manage software tools effectively.

Preferred qualifications include a management qualification in Catering Operations and experience in menu management. A deep understanding of cultural diversity and a commitment to inclusivity are highly valued.
