Position summary
The Manager Quality, Risk and Compliance is a pivotal leadership role responsible for implementing, maintaining, monitoring, reporting and enhancing quality standards, risk and compliance across Cultura. This position will lead a team of three Quality, Risk and Compliance Coordinators/Business Partners, in quality assurance focused roles ensuring accountability and enhancing service delivery across the variety of programs that Cultura offers. The Manager will collaborate closely with service delivery Leadership roles, and other key stakeholders, providing expert leadership and advice on quality assurance, legislative compliance and risk mitigation.
This position will be contracted on a permanent full time or part time basis ranging from 30 - 38 hours per week, depending on availabilities of the successful candidate.
Duties
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, reporting and enhancement of quality assurance systems across Cultura in alignment with relevant standards and best practices
- Support the leadership team with delivery of quality improvement of service delivery streams to enhance quality care
- Support the reporting, training and communication of accurate and transparent incident reporting systems and processes
- Support the Executive team manage the organisational risk register, ensuring the consistent and timely identification and assessment of risks against defined criteria, appropriate mitigation measures and regular action consistent with the risk rating
- Update and ensure that changes in compliance and regulatory requirements, including service standards and legislation, are communicated and actioned as required
- Lead the streamlining of assurance reporting across Cultura and support leadership in monitoring performance against compliance requirements
- External audit representation and assistance to the relevant service area as required
- Contribute to and managing a positive workplace culture where the values of Cultura are at the forefront of your leadership style
- Provide leadership on consistent policy and procedure development which promotes a positive quality, risk and compliance culture
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in quality, risk, compliance or related fields
- Proven experience in a quality, compliance and/or risk leadership role within a complex, multifaceted regulatory environment
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role that supervises others
- Proficiency in quality software systems with experience in system administration and implementation
- A deep understanding of the governance mechanisms that exist in a service driven, government funded, organisation
- A strong background and understanding of risk management frameworks and processes
- Advanced communications skill in delivering and disseminating complex information to all levels of an organisation that meet compliance requirements
Desirable
- Experience in a related industry, such as aged care, health, community services or a similar government funded, for purpose organisation
- Lived experience within a multicultural community and/or the ability to speak a second language
