Position summary
The Senior Rostering Coordinator plays a key role in scheduling staff to enable service delivery for our clients. They are responsible for connecting our clients, in particular the Home and Community care clients, with the support workers, to deliver services. This is a vital role that improves the quality of our services and employment experience by supporting and working with our stakeholders.
Duties
- Optimal compilation, production and monitoring of sustainable and quality fortnightly rosters, in alignment with industrial awards and enterprise agreements
- Efficient and accurate coordination of day-to-day roster changes arising from staffing, client and business needs
- Arrange replacement staff to cover absences, whilst minimizing use of staff overtime
- Collaborate with staff and clients, providing prompt and positive customer service and direction
- Ensure rosters align skills and experience of staff to support business and clients need, fostering the best quality care
- Assist with communication to stakeholders, whether call, email or otherwise
- Prepare and communicate workforce utilization data into stakeholder friendly reports, supporting workforce planning and gap analysis
- Develop, implement and train on rostering policies, procedures and work manuals, to ensure documentation is up to date and reflective of practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in rostering processes and systems across Cultura
- Assist with supporting other team members and resolving issues
- Mantain documents for audit, recording data of missed shifts, new shifts, etc.
- Tracking agency booking data.
- Other rostering and administration support as directed.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Associate Diploma or Degree in area of relevance
- At least 3 years’ experience in similar complex rostering and administration environment
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Exceptional customer service skills, including key phone mannerisms
- Ability to be innovative and solution focused
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Ability to work positively and effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience within the Aged, Community Care or Disability industries
- Rostering system experience in Care Industry such as CareLink+
- Knowledge of and ability to apply industrial award rules
- Experience in process improvement and delivering on innovative change
- Current Victorian Driver License.
